Play Style, Play Symbols and determining a Valid Winning Play for Christmas Presents £70k

A Play Number is allocated to each Play, which can be found at the foot of the Game Play Window.

At the start of a Play, the Player is presented with an instruction in the centre of the Game Play Window. The instruction is as follows: "Roll the die to direct Santa around the village. Each house Santa enters has left him a Christmas present. Complete a row of Christmas Presents on the prize table to win the prize for that row. Collect snowmen or Christmas trees for extra ways to win. Land on a gold star to play a minigame for your chance to win an instant prize." To commence a Play, the Player must use his mouse to position his cursor and click on "Start".

The Player is presented with a Game Play Window containing the Christmas Presents £70K game board (the "Board"). The Board represents Santa's delivery route and has squares along the route and a starting point indicated by the Santa playing piece at the bottom right of the Game Play Window. A square may contain a Christmas tree (a "Christmas Tree square") or a snowman (a "Snowman square"), or be designated a "Minigame square" or a "House square". The Minigame squares are indicated by a gold star symbol. The House squares are indicated by a thin pathway joining the square to a house. To the right of the Board is a) a table with 7 rows of Christmas presents with up to 8 Christmas presents in a row and a monetary amount to the right of each row (the "Combination Wins" table), b) a table with a row of 3 Christmas trees and a monetary amount to the right of the row (the "Christmas Tree Accumulator" table), c) a table with a row of 3 snowmen and a monetary amount to the right of the row (the "Snowman Accumulator" table), d) a box with the word "Instant Wins" and a monetary amount of "£0" appearing in the box (The 'Instant Win" table). To the bottom-left of the Board is a box with the words 'Rolls Left 9' on the left, the words 'Roll Die' on the right and a die motif within it (the "Rolls Left Indicator").

To commence a Play and move the playing piece, the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over the Rolls Left Indicator and click to roll the die. The Player will then be shown a visual representation of the roll of the die which will show the number rolled by the Player for that roll. The playing piece on the Board will automatically move the number of squares indicated by the die. When the playing piece lands on a square, the colour of the square will change from blue to pink. A Player initially has nine rolls of the die with which to move around the Board. While the playing piece is moving around the Board, the Rolls Left Indicator will show the Player a) how many rolls of the die remain in that Play and b) what die value he rolled. The Player should then position his mouse over the Rolls Left Indicator, and click to continue Play.

The consequence of the Player's playing piece landing on a particular square are detailed below.

1) If the Player's playing piece lands on a House square, the playing piece moves along the pathway to the house and goes down the chimney of the house; a Christmas present motif will then appear out of the house's chimney and the corresponding Christmas present motif in the Combinations Prize Table will be highlighted. The House square will remain pink until the Player clicks the Rolls Left Indicator to continue Play. The Christmas present motif that appeared out the chimney of the house remains on the House square.

2) If the Player's playing piece lands on a Christmas Tree square, the Christmas tree will grow larger briefly and the Christmas tree lights will switch on. A Christmas tree motif will be displayed and highlighted briefly in the Christmas Tree Accumulator table. If the Player's playing piece lands on three Christmas Tree squares and collects three Christmas trees in the Christmas Tree Accumulator table, the table will flash to indicate that the Player has won £25.

3) If the Player's playing piece lands on a Snowman square, the snowman will grow larger briefly and rock from side to side. A snowman motif will be displayed and highlighted briefly in the Snowman Accumulator table. If the Player's playing piece lands on three Snowman squares and collects three snowmen in the Snowman Accumulator table, the table will flash to indicate that the Player has won £5.

4) If the Player's playing piece lands on a Minigame square, one of 3 themed Minigames will be displayed in the Game Play Window; Minigame 1 "Christmas Crackers", Minigame 2 "Snowglobes" or Minigame 3 "Wish List".

a) Minigame 1. "Christmas Crackers": The Player is presented with three Christmas crackers and the instruction "Pull one of the three crackers to reveal what's inside". Click on a cracker to continue. To play the Minigame the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over any one of the Christmas crackers and click. An instruction will appear informing the Player of the outcome of the Minigame. If the outcome is a free roll, an instruction will inform the Player that he has won a free roll. When the Player clicks 'Continue', the free roll will be added to the Rolls Left Indicator table and the words 'free roll' will be displayed on the Minigame square.

If the outcome of the Minigame is to move the playing piece back a number of squares, an instruction will inform the Player of the number of spaces backwards his playing piece will be automatically moved around the Board. Once the Minigame has been completed, the playing piece will automatically move the number of spaces backwards around the Board. The number of spaces the playing piece moved backwards is displayed on the Minigame square.

If the Player reveals an instant win, an instruction will inform the player of the monetary amount he has won. Once the Player has clicked "Continue" to end the Minigame, the monetary prize amount will appear in the Instant Win table. The monetary prize amount is displayed on the Minigame square.

To complete the Minigame the player should use his mouse to position his cursor over "Continue" and click.

b) Minigame 2. "Snowglobes"

The Player is presented with three snowglobes and the instruction: "Click on all three snowglobes to reveal the cash amounts. Match 3 like amounts to win one of those amounts. Shake a globe to continue". To play the Minigame the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over each of the three snowglobes and click. This can be done in any order the Player chooses. If the outcome of the game is 3 matching amounts, then an instruction will inform the Player that he has won the monetary amount displayed and that he must "click to continue". When the Player clicks "Continue" to end the Minigame, the monetary prize amount won will be displayed in the Instant Win table.

If the outcome of the Minigame is not 3 matching amounts the Player will be presented with the instruction "Bad luck Click to continue".

To complete the Minigame and return to the Board the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over "Continue" and click.

c) Minigame 3. "Wish List"

The Player is presented with 2 rows; in each row there is a Wish List motif and a Present motif and the instruction: "In a row, deliver more presents than the number of items on the wish list to win a symbol in the main prize table" The Player needs to move his cursor over two wish list motifs and the two present motifs and click to reveal a number of items on that wish list and a number of items delivered.

If the number of presents delivered is greater than the number of items on the wish list in a row, the Player will be presented with the instruction "You have won a" with a Christmas Present motif next to it, and the corresponding Christmas present motif(s) in the Combinations Prize Table will be highlighted.

If the number of presents delivered is less than the number of items on the wish list in a row, the Player will be presented with the instruction "Click to continue". To finish the Minigame and return to the Board, the Player needs to move his cursor over the word "Continue" and click.

A Player's Play ends when he has exhausted all his rolls of the die. A message will appear in the centre of the Game Play Window informing the Player of the total amount he has won if any (including any instant win amounts in respect of the Instant Win table and any amounts won in respect of the Snowman Accumulator table, the Christmas Tree Accumulator table, and the Combination Wins table) and that he must "click 'finish' to complete the game".
