Monopoly Gold

Monopoly - Gold Edition at National Lottery

At the start of a Play, the Player will be presented with the current set of Monopoly playing pieces: Ship, Car, Top Hat, Boot, Dog, and Iron and the instruction "PICK YOUR PIECE TO START THE GAME". The Player should select a playing piece by using his mouse to position his cursor over that playing piece and click. A representation of the selected playing piece will be used to track the Player's progress around the Monopoly Gold Edition board (the "Board").
Once a playing piece is selected, the Player will be presented with a Game Play Window displaying (a) a visual representation of the Board with their chosen playing piece in gold alongside Player 2's playing piece in silver and situated at the square marked 'GO'; (b) inside the Board a table consisting of 8 lines of motifs representing types of squares on the Board with a monetary amount to the right of each line (the "Combination Wins" table); and (c) an arrow motif with the words "YOUR TURN" above it (the "Turn Indicator"), (d) on the left of the Turn Indicator is a motif featuring two dice with a rolls left indicator and the words 'CLICK DICE TO PLAY' ("Main Dice Roll area") (e) below the Main Dice Roll area a motif featuring two dice with the words PLAYER 2 underneath (the "Player 2 Dice Roll area") and (f) to the right of the Player 2 Dice Roll area a table with the heading "RENT PAID collect to win" (the "Rent Paid table").
To start moving his playing piece around the Board the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over the Main Dice Roll area and click. The two dice in the Main Dice Roll area will roll and will show the number rolled by the Player for that roll. Subsequently, the playing piece on the Board will automatically move the number of squares indicated by the dice. The Player initially has six rolls of the dice with which to move around the Board. If the Player rolls a double e.g. two 2s, two 3s etc, he will be given an extra roll of the dice. The Player can also win extra dice rolls. After the first roll of the dice the rolls left indicator in the Main Dice Roll area will be reduced by one. The arrow motif in the Turn Indicator will then automatically rotate to point to Player 2's Dice Roll area and the words "THEIR TURN" will appear. Player 2's dice will automatically roll and Player 2's playing piece will automatically move the number of squares indicated by the dice. The arrow motif in the Turn Indicator will then point back to the Main Dice Roll area and the words "YOUR TURN" will appear. To continue the Play, the Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over the Main Dice Roll area and click to roll the dice and move his playing piece around the Board.

For example, if the Player lands on Pall Mall (which is a pink Property), all the pink rectangular motifs in the Combination Wins table will be covered by a card motif with a pink stripe at the top and the word "SOLD" in the centre.

If the Player's playing piece subsequently lands on a square which is marked 'SOLD' this will have no effect and the Player will simply roll the dice again to continue Play (unless he has reached the end of his Play and has no more rolls of the dice left).
2. Go to Jail or Just Visiting/In Jail: If a Player's playing piece lands on the Go to Jail square the playing piece moves to the Just Visiting/In Jail square. If the Player's playing piece lands on the Just Visiting/In Jail square or moves to the Just Visiting/In Jail square as a consequence of landing on the Go To Jail square, a mini game is displayed. The Player is presented with the instruction "CHOOSE ONE DOOR TO OPEN FOR YOUR CHANCE TO UNLOCK A PRIZE". Four prison doors are displayed. Having played the mini game, the Player will automatically be returned to the Board.

The player is presented with the instruction "MATCH THE COLOUR ON THE DIE TO THE COLOUR OF A CARD FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN A PRIZE". The Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over the CLICK TO PLAY/START MINI GAME motif and click. The die will roll and reveal a coloured dot. The Player will win a prize amount, a free roll, 'NO PRIZE' or a move of his playing piece as indicated by the card matching the colour shown on the dice. The Player should use his mouse to position his cursor over the CLICK TO CONTINUE. If the Player has matched with a card with the words FREE ROLL, a Free Roll card will then be displayed in the Main Dice Roll area when he returns to the Board and the Player will receive an additional roll of the dice. If the Player has won a prize amount, the monetary amount will be displayed on the Go square and will be highlighted orange when he returns to the Board. If the colour on the die matched the colour of a card with the words GO TO STREET NAME, where STREET NAME is one of the Properties on the Board, the Player's playing piece will be moved to that particular square when he returns to the Board.
Having played the mini game, the Player will be automatically returned to the Board.
If Player 2's playing piece landing on a Property square, a Water Company Square, an Electric Company Square or a Train Station square that is marked as 'SOLD', Player 2 must pay rent and a card motif with the word "RENT" will be displayed in the Rent Paid table. If a Player does highlight all the motifs in one line of the Combination Wins table the monetary amount to the right of that line will flash to indicate the amount the Player has won in respect of the Combination Wins table.
